Cat Cora is one of the most popular chefs in the world, thanks to a prolific book career and numerous appearances on the Food Network.


Raised in Mississippi of Greek heritage, Cora’s upbringing played a strong role in her early cooking efforts.

On the advice of her mentor, Julia Child, Cora embarked on an impressive culinary education; starting at The Culinary Institute of America.

Cat Cora’s Food Network debut came in 1999 as co-host of Melting Pot with Rocco DiSpirito. Since then, she has hosted many of the Food Network’s most popular cooking shows. She received the ultimate honor of becoming the first, and only, female Iron Chef on Food Network’s Iron Chef America in 2005.

Cora continues to rise in popularity as she promotes her cookbooks and cooking shows, as well as taking part in special philanthropic projects. She has become the nutritional spokesperson for UNICEF and the president and founder of Chefs for Humanity, a Doctors without Borders type organization for the culinary community.
