While some may view The Stand’s rapid expansion across Southern California as overnight success, the brand has been building its foundation since 2003. The company is accelerating its momentum, with plans to open several new locations annually. Three new Southern California sites are currently in construction, including Encinitas, Temecula, and the brand’s largest location to date at “The Valley” an outdoor mall in Mission Valley, San Diego (formerly known as Westfield Mission Valley Mall).

The Mission Valley location, slated to open in August 2026, will feature an indoor/outdoor bar and expanded dining areas designed to accommodate large parties. Located across from AMC Theaters within the newly remodeled Mission Valley Mall, it will offer seating for approximately 200 guests with both indoor and outdoor seating. This marks The Stand’s 23rd location, with sites 24 and 25 to open in Encinitas and Temecula closer to the end of the year.

The Stand has always been about its guest-focused experience, from pet-friendly patios and family-friendly spaces to seasonal specials and a rewards-driven mobile app. Their streamlined catering program offers flexible options for offices and events, while the brand’s commitment to community fundraising remains central, with a portion of event profits donated back to local schools and charitable organizations.

New menu items at The Stand include chicken, steak, and salmon bowls, crispy chicken tenders, seasonal milkshake specials, and more. Current featured specials, available for a limited time, include the miso salmon sandwich, mint chocolate crunch milkshake, and a Caribbean-inspired jerk chicken bowl. Catering at The Stand includes such options as individual boxed meals, sandwich and wrap platters, gourmet salads, build-your-own burger and hotdog buffets, sides, and desserts.
