Ponta dos Ganchos Celebrates Carnival with Sizzling, Hip-Shaking and Red-Hot Experiences

Ponta dos Ganchos Resort is pleased to announce their Carnival celebration with a series of exciting outdoor events from February 9-11. The Carnival series will offer an eclectic mix of both traditional Brazilian Carnival festivities and tailor-made experiences for guests of Ponta dos Ganchos, one of the most exclusive resorts in south Brazil.

The revelry will kick off with a culinary course with Chef Luis Salvajoli on Saturday February 9, where gourmands can sample the sumptuous local cuisine while learning about its traditions. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to feast on a live seafood grill with the catch of the day. Ponta dos Ganchos, a Relais & Châteaux member, offers a daily changing menu crafted using the best local and regional products, in addition to produce straight from the resort’s organic gardens.

The festivities continue on Sunday with the first-ever Ponta dos Ganchos Samba Session in the resort’s Cantinho da Veleza, a charming open-air veranda set right on the water’s edge. Après-samba, guests may indulge in a tasting session of Cachaça, Brazil’s national spirit distilled from sugarcane juice, on the resort’s private island.

Guests can unwind from the day’s celebrations and rejuvenate mind and body with the daily sunset yoga sessions overlooking the waters of Brazil’s Emerald Coast. These yoga sessions will take place with a special yoga instructor brought in for Carnival and will take place at the Cantinho da Veleza. On Monday evening (February 11) Ponta dos Ganchos will also air a nightly selection of Brazilian films, projected under the star-filled skies.

Rates for the 4-night Ponta dos Ganchos Carnival promotion (from February 8-12) start from approximately USD $6,850 for a Luxury Villa.
