Roseshire Roses Are an Upgrade to the Cliché of Mother's Day Flowers

Own It
BY : Mila Pantovich | 2015

Roses may be associated with romance more often than not, but a pink bloom is much different than a red one. Sending someone a bouquet of blush roses can be a sentimental way to show appreciation, love and gratitude, and who fits the bill more than our mothers? The ones who have suffered through our tantrums and supported our embarrassing teenage fashion choices. For Mother’s Day, luxe flowery delivery service Roseshire is offering gorgeous two-toned boxes of varying sizes and bloom colors. Available in pink, red, and lavender, you can send your mom a hand-arranged box of one, two, three or four dozen stems. Roseshire has also made some upgrades to the packaging, including a “Crafted By” spot where the designer who made it can sign, “similar to what Lamborghini or Ferrari does to their handmade engines.” Plus, each box comes with a custom-designed card that stands apart from the boring Hallmark-like options most companies offer.

The Bespoke W1 Suitcase Takes It Back to Travel's Golden Days

Own It
BY : Mila Pantovich | 2015

Using a luggage trunk instead of the average suitcase is way classier. What better way to feel like Audrey Hepburn or Clark Gable? Priced at €2,950 ($3,210), the W1 Suitcase is from the mind of Barcelona-based designer Mauro Bianucci and manufactured by Bespoke Luggage. Available through Wilkens, the carry-on hearkens back to the glamour days when travel was for the select few who could afford such a luxury. It’s made using a variety of materials depending on which case you choose—including fine leather, metal accents, suede interiors, and carbon fiber reinforcements—and can be embossed with your initials. Of course, since this is 2015 and no one wants to lug a trunk around, the W1 can be rolled on two wheels from its telescopic handle. Though a lot of color options are available, we’d definitely keep with classic earth tones, like light brown on dark.

Ditch the Cart and Surf the Putting Green on Golfboard

Own It
BY : Mila Pantovich | 2015

Golf carts are pretty integral to a day on the green. It may not be the healthiest alternative to getting around, not when you can easily walk, but it's the quickest and easiest. Until now. The Golfboard not only makes getting from one hole to the next a breeze, it's also better for you because it at least requires you to stand. It's basically the surfboard-inspired Segway of the green. Created with Don Wildman, the founder of Bally Total Fitness, and surfing star Laird Hamilton, the Goldboard is used much like an electric skateboard would be. Shifting your weight allows you to turn, while you control it using either a handheld controller or a standing thumb throttle. After you learn to master it, which promises to be simple, all you have to do is strap your golf bag to the front and take off.
