Saveur Magazine's First Digital e-Book, Easy Italian

Saveur

Pizza, spaghetti, and other Italian food are often the go-to options for many American on busy nights but can we step up our game? A short collection of Italian recipes compiled by the editors of Saveur magazine offers plenty of ways to deepen our repertoire. The short e-book, the first digital offering from the venerable foodie fave, focuses on easy-to-master dishes that hail from a variety of regions, from the spicy eggplant dishes of Sicily to the lemony and bright flavors of Venice to the rich tomato dishes of Tuscany and the meat-heavy Bolognese sauce. There are plenty of old favorites in this selection from  minestrone soup to eggplant Parmesan. Traditional desserts such as zabaglione and panna cotta are also represented. Each recipe also contains notes on potential wine pairings. If you already have an Italian cookbook at home you probably don't need this book but as a quick tour of Italian cuisine that can be easily prepared this serves excellently. The book is available for $2.99 from the Apple iBook store.
