New York Fashion Week is in full swing, and I’m in the Big Apple soaking up the runway shows, backstage beauty secrets and insider happenings taking place around the clock at Lincoln Center and beyond. Amidst the to-die-for fashions, breathtaking makeup trends and inventive hairstyles, I’ve got my eyes on the accessories for Spring 2013— namely, the fabulous footwear making its way down the catwalk with fierce abandon.
Bespoke footwear line Shoes of Prey is making its NYFW debut with innovative collaborations with three up-and-coming designers: Mandy Coon, Jonathan Simkhai and (Project Runway season eight winner) Gretchen Jones—all showing collections this season. Shoes of Prey worked closely with each designer, exchanging creative genius to truly nail the look and feel of the shoes in conjunction with the clothes. The footwear collections range from sexy, strappy fishskin stilettos for urban chic designer Mandy Coon to chunky color-blocked neon lace-up booties inspired by the 1970s for the ever earthy, homespun Gretchen Jones. The result is an undeniably bold look for each show. In short, we’re in awe and loving the majorly modern details of each design.

Shoes of Prey, we commend you for celebrating each designer’s unique aesthetic and embracing the art of footwear!
