Gorgeous Gowns & Cringe-Worthy Designs: Red Carpet Looks from the 2015 Grammys

The Grammys are never intended to be a serious event—at least for the red carpet. This is where the most creative of music artists get to show their wild side, giving looks that make us marvel at their beauty, cringe at their tastelessness or collapse at the sheer baselessness of their sexuality. Someone grab the smelling salts. This year Madonna decided to moon the entire red carpet in an ass-less, Matador-inspired Givenchy piece (amazingly she still has the body to pull it off), Rihanna opted for a Giambattista Valli cupcake ensemble and Kim Kardashian wore what could only be described as a glittery house robe by Jean Paul Gaultier. We’ll just say you know it’s bad when Miley Cyrus is one of the best dressed of the evening.

It may have been a night of questionable attire, but our girls Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani totally brought it. Swift wore an iridescent, jewel-toned Elie Saab gown that was a clear step out of her comfort zone, but worked seamlessly on the songstress. Bey’s lace Proenza Schouler dress highlighted her curves and Perry’s Zuhair Murad gown was seriously award-winning. Even Stefani, well known for pushing the envelope on the red carpet, opted for a Atelier Versace jumpsuit that was funky, but stayed just on this side of chic.
