Captivating Video Shows How Technology and Dance Can Create a Beautiful Modern Art Experience

Photo/Video Credit: Adrien M / Claire B

This video may look like CGI was involved in the editing, but it's actually comprised of clips from the last performance of Pixel, a super cool show that brings dancers into a virtual setting. Technically, the Pixel show ended its run on November 14, 2014, so it's not exactly new, but we have a feeling it will be new to most. The dancing light show was developed by artists Adrien Mondot and Claire Bardainne, who worked together to create an hour-long experience that showed 11 dancers seemingly interacting with light, moving together like the tech was itself a moving, breathing entity. From Cirque du Soleil creating dancing drones and a wearable sphere that follows movements to this, it seems like every day technology is immersing itself deeper into the art world and we're loving the outcome.
