We have tried and love Altadis’ H Upmann Sun Grown cigar (size Belicoso) but the company has recently launched the 1844 Reserve, which the folks there are calling "perhaps our finest H. Upmann yet."

Embodying H. Upmann’s long tradition of fine cigar making, the new 1844 Reserve began shipping in July. From its intricate and complex flavor sensations to its great white ash, the new 1844 Reserve captures everything aficionados have loved about H. Upmann cigars.

This fuller-bodied smoke is handcrafted in the Dominican Republic and features an Ecuadorian Cubano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and Dominican filler tobaccos. H. Upmann 1844 Reserve is available in a (33 X 4 ½ ) Demitasse size, which is packaged in boxes of 60 and has a suggested retail price of $2.25 per stick. Larger sizes include Corona (44 x 5 ½), Robusto (50 X 5), Churchill (50 X 7), Belicoso (52 X 6 1/8) and Toro (54 X 6). Suggested retail prices range from $5.25 to $6.75.

Altadis has also released another new smoke: the Diamondback. Smooth, mild and aromatic, this cigar also started shipping in July and is priced from $4.25 to $5.00. Blended in Nicaragua by Omar Ortez, Diamondback features a hand-selected Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper encasing a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The cigar is available in four sizes: Corona (44 X 5 ½), Churchill (52 X 7), Robusto (54 X 5) and Toro (54 X 6). It is packaged in boxes of 20. For more information on Altadis, visit AltadisUSA.com.
