Back again with all of the glitz and glamour of old, the Del Mar Racetrack will open this July 16, 2015 with a bang. Opening day will be a whirlwind of attendees, horse racing and glamour, as well as the "official" start of San Diego's summer. With over 40,000 people anticipated to flood the racetrack, the festivities will be highlighted by the Opening Day Hats Contest and the biggest outdoor party in Southern California, simply called "The Party" at the track's Seaside Cabana. This season will hold a variety of fun activities throughout the season, including a host of VIP parties, family fun weekends, craft beer and food festivals, racing seminars and more.
