The Magic City's Icon of Luxury Hotels, The JW Marriott Marquis, Miami

Miami is one of the world’s most popular destinations and with good reason. From the idyllic beaches and exciting night life of South Beach to the art and cultural offerings of the Midtown and Design districts. Brickell and Downtown are centrally located within a short distance to all that Miami has to offer and where you’ll find its most uber luxurious hotel, the JW Marriott Marquis Miami.


The JW Marriott Marquis Miami adds to the Miami skyline with 41 floors in a decadent shiny skyscraper overlooking the picturesque Biscayne Bay.  Two towering griffins, those fictional winged creatures and the brand’s icon, greet guests as they arrive at the hotel's entrance. In the driveway are a steady stream of Ferraris, and Bentley’s pulling up to one of Miami’s most tony addresses. Miami is all about the bling and inside the lobby, the decadent the three-story crystal chandelier and sparkling marble floors sets the ambiance of sophisticated luxury that awaits the hotel’s guests.  


The hotel fronts the Biscayne Bay and the Miami River and is located in between Miami’s Downtown area and at the northern most end of Brickell, Miami’s financial district. The JW Marriott Marquis Miami hosts the titans of business there to do their bidding as well as leisure guests looking to be in the middle of it all. Just a few minutes away is the recently opened Brickell City Center filled with endless shopping, dining and entertainment options. For those in town to check out a Miami Heat home game or one of the many concerts in the arena, they don’t have to go far as that is a few Uber minutes away as well.


The 313 well-appointed rooms and suites are spacious and ultra-comfortable with all the amenities the most demanding guest would require. The color palate is calm and muted awash with light from the floor to ceiling windows. Just beyond are the sweeping views of Biscayne Bay or the Brickell Financial District cityscape.  The decadent bathrooms feature Italian marble surfaces with separate showers and bathtubs, and upscale bathroom amenities. 


There are endless dining options in the area and a bit further away in Brickell however guests will want to dine in a few nights for sure. Boulud Sud is the signature restaurant helmed by celebrity French chef Daniel Boulud of db Bistro and a host of other upscale eateries.  Boulud Sud is Boulud’s interpretation of the cuisine the he came to know during his travels throughout the Mediterranean. The interiors are fresh, contemporary and casual with high ceilings, colorful artwork and well as a  terrace for guests who wish to dine alfresco. Boulud Sud also boasts an exceptional bar scene which showcases Miami’s cocktail culture with extravagant drinks from their talented mixologists. On the weekends the bar, lounge and restaurant buzz with hotel guests and Miami’s in-crowd.  


Not to be outdone by the electric setting is the cuisine. The food is Mediterranean with a heavy emphasis on Moroccan, France’s Côte d’Azur, Spain, Italy, and Greece. Not to be missed are the grilled octopus and the Mediterranean branzino.   


Although the hotel is located in the heart of the city, there are plenty of activities to do both in the resort and a short distance away. The JW Marriott Marquis Miami features a regulation NBA basketball court, indoor tennis court, full-service spa and gym as well as the acclaimed Jim McLean Golf School with personal instruction, golf simulators, and putting greens.  To get in a few laps or to work on that perfect than, there’s an outdoor pool perched high on the 19th floor overlooking the Miami’s skyscrapers and the Biscayne Bay.
