Who says you can’t celebrate the winter holidays in the desert? This year “Winter in Venice” will bring seasonal cheer to The Venetian and The Palazzo with 50 days of experiences, ranging from ice skating and parades to musical spectaculars and culinary competitions. From November 18 to January 6, 2013 visitors from around the world will travel to Las Vegas to enjoy an Italian-inspired holiday season. At the Palazzo Theatre, Grammy Award-winning composer, Chip Davis will present iconic holiday music during the six-week running of “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Las Vegas.” In addition, tree-lighting and a 3D light projection show will transpire in the lush Palazzo Waterfall Gardens.
The skating rink, located in the Venetian’s outdoor Grand Canal has been featured as one of the world’s “coolest skating rinks” in Travel + Leisure magazine. Indulge in one of Venetian’s holiday packages and enjoy carving figure eights and taking an outdoor gondola ride. Overnight guests at the Venetian and the Palazzo can enjoy special holiday gifts, like being welcomed with warm apple cider and carolers. Italian folklore will be sprinkled throughout the 50-day celebration, and guests can experience generations of Italian heritage through nightly parades and delicious cuisine presented during The Venetian Golden Spoon Master Chef Competition.
