Date Night in Denver

Posted: Jul. 27th, 2012  |  By Michael Pearse

Denver is one of those cities that have a great selection of everything you would ever want from a metropolis area. But, unlike most highly-populated cities west of the Mississippi, Denver also has more weather than just hot or slightly less hot. This being the case, Denver is a great place to visit year-round for all sorts of outdoor activities. At the end of a long day, though, you and your companion will likely want a fun night out on the town. If so, try out these locations to make your date night a memorable and romantic one.

Dinner -

Palace Arms - One of the few restaurants that actually live up to all the hype surrounding it, Palace Arms is an upscale dining experience that is nearly unrivaled in all of Denver. Located at The Brown Palace Hotel, the location couldn’t be any better for vacationers as it offers a luxurious hotel in Denver, an amazing spa and, of course, this exquisite restaurant.

Mizuna - Though you might expect this restaurant to serve Japanese food with a name like Mizuna, they actually serve French cuisine, and they it superbly. With a romantic atmosphere and some amazing dishes like roasted quail and seared veal tenderloin, a date at this restaurant is sure to please both parties.

Entertainment -

Bovine Metropolis Theater - An intimate and often-hilarious theater-going experience, the Bovine Metropolis Theater brings many local and invited comedic groups to the venue and while some of it is improve (which is often hit or miss), the shows consistently receive good ratings.

Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret - Another comedy-laden outing experience, Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret put on a burlesque variety show that is sure to keep you laughing through the entire show. Cirque-du-Soleil style performances and some fun magic tricks make this a great place to spend a few hours being entertained.

Nightcap - Black Crown Lounge - With a variety of rooms, an exceptional patio and wonderful artwork adorning the place (most of which is for sale), the Black Crown Lounge is a perfect location to take a comfortable seat and catch up with your date over fantastically crafted cocktails.
