 Transit routes between Seattle and Vancouver are facing a serious delay: the danger of mudslides has put Amtrak's lines on hold at least until Friday. Amtrak is offering a special bus service to make up for the loss of the trains, but until the danger passes, no trains will head north from Seattle. The hold comes after several nearly 15-foot deep slides buried the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks.
No passenger trains will run north of Seattle until Friday because of the danger of more mudslides hitting the tracks south of Everett.
Amtrak says buses will serve its passengers between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia.
Sound Transit says its Sounder train will run a special day-after-Thanksgiving schedule on Friday — assuming there are no more mudslides — and resume the normal commuter schedule on Monday. Read More on newstimes.com
