At every turn, Villa La Valencia will invite you to indulge the finest epicurean experiences. We experienced a culinary journey, that allowed us to savor flavors of the world every evening. The expertly crafted dishes and wine parings at each restaurant showcased the freshest local ingredients with every bite. We started at Latitud 23.5 where the chef’s standouts included Smoked Beef Tartare flavored with Truffle and Mushroom Flakes, followed by an exquisitely prepared Beef Broth with Bone Marrow and Birria, and the meticulously slow cooked Short Rib with Cauliflower Cream and Asparagus. Night two was equally as memorable with dinner at La Taberna which included an appetizer of Fritto Misto and an extraordinary Beetroot and Roasted Cauliflower Salad dressed with Black Garlic Purée, Pecorino Cheese and Truffle Oil. Main courses of Shrimp Risotto with Saffron paired with Nicchio Pinot Grigio and tender Lamb Chops with Herbed Potatoes paired with Siniscalco Cabernet Sauvignon rounded out the culinary experience. Of course a nightcap prepared by the mixologists at the La Jolla Lobby Bar was the perfect way to end the evening. Whether we were indulging in Villa La Valencia’s 5-star dining experiences or sipping a perfectly crafted cocktail, each moment was a celebration of culinary excellence and extraordinary service.
