Luxury Casinos: Amid the newer additions to the Las Vegas Strip is the Encore Casino, a luxurious gambling paradise.
Located just next to the Wynn Hotel, the luxurious Encore faces Las Vegas Boulevard so that guests can easily access the casino.
Billing itself as "A casino that defies convention," the Encore is home to all your gambling favorites in a classically decorated atmosphere.
Roger Thomas, executive vice president of Wynn Design and Development, traveled the world to find just the right touches for each corner of the luxurious casino, drawing on historical and mythological influences.
He says, "Encore's Tower Suites are a refuge of sophisticated chic-simple in color, intricate in texture and layered in details that both read the elegance of tradition and forecast the drama of the future," said Thomas.
For example, the baccarat lounge is home to pocket doors adorned with a peacock motif embroidered in silk and metallic gold thread on gold and green silk, images borrowed from designs by James Abbott McNeill Whistler, an American-born, British-
based artist who created the Peacock Room, which was deconstructed and is currently
in the collection of the Freer Gallery of Art at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington,
