Located in the northwestern part of Seattle, people travel from all around to participate in their annual Seafood and Heritage Festival which takes place in mid July. With their rich Scandinavian culture you’re bound to see a just about every one the community dressed in traditional period clothing worn many years ago by in Nordic men and women. The festival offers a large variety of traditional contests and competitions that will definitely be an amazing sight to see.

You will be able to partake in some of the finest and freshest seafood available during this spectacular event. There will be plenty of activities for the children as this is typically a family oriented festival. There will be barbecues blazing with the aromatic smells of fresh salmon caught by local fishermen and a huge a variety of local delicacies.

Entertainment will be performed on two different stages. One stage will cater to strictly the children and provide a day’s worth of fun entertainment to keep them busy. The other stage will be committed to more of a grownup type of entertainment. Also during this festival the city puts on their annual sidewalk sale for those of you who are interested in doing a little local shopping and possibly purchasing some nice souvenirs from this area. There will be a special area set up just for the children so they can sit around and play games, be entertained, or just enjoy a nice big ice cream cone!
