The 2013 race will mark the first time the DTM will be hosted in Moscow. Excitement abounds amongst racing enthusiasts and car manufacturers alike, citing the event as an excellent opportunity to expose luxury vehicles to a new international audience.

The DTM will visit Russia for the first time in 2013 after confirming a date at Moscow Raceway.

The Moscow event will be the seventh of 2012 on the expanded 11-round calendar revealed on Tuesday.

"For DTM, the race in Moscow is an important step on the way to breaking into new markets," says Hans Werner Aufrecht, chairman of DTM organiser the ITR.
