Century City just got a new sweet destination. Italian chocolatier and gelateria house Venchi has opened a new chocolate boutique in the Westfield Century City mall, it's second stand alone "Chocogelateria" in LA (the first is much smaller and located at Americana in Glendale). The store is a treat for lovers of premium chocolates, specialty chocolates and gelato.

Venchi began in 1878 when Silviano Venchi spent his savings on two bronze cauldrons to experiment with chocolate in Turin, Italy. From that beginning, Venchi became known for its ingredients and craftsmanship, especially for their classic "nougatime" (caramelised chopped hazelnuts coated in extra dark chocolate).

Today the brand boasts more than 140 years of history and offers a variety of chocolate treats and dozens of gelato flavors, opening boutiques in more than 70 countries.

 At the Century City Venchi boutique, chocoholics can find a rich assortment of signature chocolates including bars, pralines, their special varieties including Gianduiotti and Cremini, a special Chocoviar wall display and gift boxes and tins.

Venchi also offers more than 20 gelato flavors to choose from including vegan options and customized cones rimmed with hazelnut or chocolate spreads and finished with their special crunchy chocolate 'caviar' nibs. Gelato can be enjoyed in a cone or cup or blended into a gelato shake.

The new Venchi boutique is beautiful with finishes and a display design that follows Venchi's global aesthetic with sleek Italian design touches, beautifully lit shelves and an emphasis on pretty presentation.
