Having established a name for itself in the household relocation segment in big cities of the country, Agarwal Packers and Movers of DRS Group, plans to branch out to Tier 2 cities where it sees huge untapped potential for business.
Agarwal Packers and Movers is one of the largest operators in the organized home relocation business in India and claims to have shifted more than 10 lakh homes. "The company eyes a huge business potential in Tier 2 cities of Indian market," said Dayanand Agarwal, chairman and managing director of DRS group. The company intends to consolidate its position in this segment by increasing thrust on marketing, establishing further stations across India and engaging more actively with corporate clients, while maintaining the leadership position in the retail household relocation business.
Of late, the company has introduced many innovative concepts for enhancing profitability of the division and at the same time offering a superior service experience to its customers , for example, by introducing plastic crates instead of cardboard boxes, wooden crate packing for electronic items etc and containerized home shifting , etc.
The group is also into warehousing with 2 million sq ft space and has plans to develop more warehouses across the country. According to Mr Agarwal, the group endeavors to provide hassle free service to the customers with its net work of around 100 branches pan India, own fleet of about 700 vehicles and a workforce of around 2000 dedicated staff members.
Besides its core business of logistic services, the group has diversified interest in the education sector. The vision of the group is to be acknowledged as a leader in providing world class logistics services and education facilities.
