Akaryn Hotel Group has announced the launch of akyra Sukhumvit Bangkok in February of 2018, a cutting-edge, urban-design hotel. The launch of this new groundbreaking property further expands Akaryn Hotel Group's diverse collection of luxury hotels and resorts throughout Thailand. The upscale, boutique hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 20, the epicenter of Bangkok’s most dynamic area, in a lively neighborhood known for its restaurants, as well as its upscale shopping, spas and parks.
Designed by Paradigm Shift Studio, the 50-room akyra Sukhumvit Bangkok will have a design concept of "East meets West," inspired by classic Western style, integrated with Thai culture and design. The hotel will feature large guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that slide open onto generous balconies with cityscape views. The design aesthetic will combine the simplicity of natural woods with accents of modern-retro chic displayed in everything from the furnishings to the original Thai artwork, featuring a range of stylish interior touches that create a distinctive identity whilst retaining the charm of an intimate urban property.
Delicious craft cocktails and light bites will be served at the hotel’s sophisticated rooftop space, a stylish pool bar with sun loungers and cabanas positioned around the pool with dramatic vistas of Bangkok’s modern architectural achievements. This spacious and edgy design will cater up to 100 people for both guests and locals, with live music and entertainment, providing a sophisticated, urban space. On the ground floor, guests will be able to enjoy a casual dining experience with the signature akyra gourmet breakfast and a choice of authentic Thai dishes, healthy salads, delicious pastas and delectable desserts.
The launch of akyra Sukhumvit Bangkok follows the recent opening of akyra Thonglor Bangkok—another stylish property comprising 148 studios and one to three-bedroom suites located in Thonglor, Bangkok’s fashionable district renowned for its contemporary culture and creative cuisine.
