Christopher Bailey is not only wrapping up his Burberry Spring/Summer collection that will be showing at London Fashion Week, he is also in the process of planning an extraordinary event: his wedding.
Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative officer is engaged to marry his long-term beau, actor and writer Simon Woods in September also in London at an intimate civil ceremony reported by the Daily Mail.
This is another wonderful announcement for the accomplished designer who has earned and been recognized with many Designer of the Year awards. It is also a second chance at love after losing his boyfriend in 2005, Miu Miu's brand director Geert Cloet, who died of brain cancer.
The happy couples, Bailey and Woods made it official and were seen at the Chelsea Register Office to give notice of their upcoming partnership. Bailey and Woods will keep the occasion limited to their close circle of family and friends and celebrate their union in the grand chandelier-decorated Brydon Room.
