Crowning Miss American Vintage

Miss American Vintage

Vintage

Miami Beach is known for its vintage charm from the Art Deco architecture to its sandy beaches fit for a Pan Am commercial. It was the place for movie stars back in the 1950s with the “Rat Pack” dancing and frolicking at the Fontainebleau Hilton and with Marilyn Monroe staying at the Eden Roc. According to Mr. Herbert Piramid from the House of Piramid, Miami Beach is the perfect place to hold the next Miss American Vintage 2013 Pageant.

Mr. Piramid was disappointed that most of the pageants in the area neglect the heritage of the city and he wanted to establish one that took into account the past. He also wanted to provide an opportunity for contestants to display their natural beauty in a classic setting.  Because of this, he chose the Dezerland Beach Hotel and Spa as the center for the casting and crowning of the next beauty queen.

The Dezerland Hotel Beach and Spa is part of the Dezerland Hotels which include the Trump Plaza International.  Donald Trump is the present owner of the Miss Universe Pageant.

In fact, Mr. Piramid will be casting each week with a celebrity judge to choose the contestant for the final crowning event to be held late December.  The judging will take place every Saturday at 4pm.  Confirmed judges include Candy Woolley-Humpherys, designer of Candy Woolley Accessories; Maxine Victor, Co-Founder of Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week; Esther Dollar, the present Ms. Latina International; Karine Melissa, Founder of Fashion's Designer Expo; jewelry designer Shannon Marie from RockCandy Leatherworks and Staci Lyon, signed Wilhemina model.

The winner will be awarded prizes which will include media exposure, publicity, live photo shoots, and participation in special events such as the Art Deco Vintage Fashion Week. She will participate in a pop-up fashion show and fashion photo shoot at Art Basel. She will receive advice from influential figures in fashion. To top it off, the winner will also receive a swimsuit from Cia.Maritima's 2013 collection by Benny Rosset valued in more than $350. She will also receive contracts with fashion designers in Miami.
