Go Glamping at Australia's Coolest Zoos

If you didn’t realize that staying at the zoo could be a luxurious event, think again! You may have not even known that some zoos have overnight accommodations; but these ones really represent the top of the line in glamping or luxury accommodations. You’ll feel like you’re king of the zoo at these five Australian zoo sleepovers: the Jamala Wildlife Lodge in Canberra, the Roar & Snore at Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Roar & Snore at Taronga Zoo in Dubbo, Slumber Safari at the Werribee Open Range Zoo, and the Roar ‘n’ Snore at the Melbourne Zoo.

Slumber Safari at Werribee Open Range Zoo

The Werribee Open Range Zoo is in Victoria close to Melbourne.  The Werribee Zoo Slumber Safari gives you two days of access to the zoo. There is an African-inspired dinner at night after your first day at the zoo and then a buffet breakfast in the morning before your second day to explore the open range. The accommodations are luxury campsites with tented lodges with ensuite bathrooms, fans, and electric blankets. Overnight explorers also get a fully hosted safari experience, animal encounter and exclusive animal viewing opportunities. Guest also receive special discounts at the Village Trader Zoo Shop and on Wild Encounters.
