Each winter, as the Swiss Alps prepare for ski season, an exclusive group of guests are granted a head start on the slopes—long before the lifts open to the public. From November 27 to 30, 2025, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa, Switzerland, will once again transform Hörnli Mountain into a private, glistening winter wonderland for its annual Private Mountain Event. This means no lift lines, no crowds—just pristine runs and breathtaking views. This highly anticipated tradition marks the first ski of the season, inviting guests to carve through untouched powder amid an atmosphere of celebration and style.
Glamour in the Alps
This year’s theme, Ski & Style, elevates this experience even further with a high-altitude fashion show featuring Austrian ski brand Frauenschuh and handcrafted Swiss jewelry, modeled against the panoramic peaks. Before reaching at the mountaintop, guests can pose with sleek Porsche vehicles showcased both at the hotel entrance and the base station—because style starts from the moment you arrive.
Once atop Hörnli Mountain, the festivities continue with a friendly ski race, snow boccia, live music, live painting, and spa rituals paired with tea tastings. Culinary pop-ups from The Tschuggen Collection’s sister properties—the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, Hotel Eden Roc, and Valsana Hotel—add even more indulgence to the alpine atmosphere.
Beyond the Slopes, Retreat in Alpine Luxury
After a day on the slopes, guests return to the Tschuggen Grand Hotel, where Carlo Rampazzi’s contemporary fairy-tale interiors and the Tschuggen Bergoase Spa’s architectural serenity, designed by Mario Botta, create the perfect retreat. Evenings are best spent savoring authentic Swiss cuisine, warming up by the fire, and relishing the beauty of an alpine season just beginning.
For those who believe skiing should be as stylish as it is exhilarating, the Private Mountain Event promises an unforgettable start to winter in true Tschuggen fashion.
