The Ultimate Personalized Pluto Pillow

Research has shown that consumers should purchase a new pillow every one to two years. According to Sleep.org, a pillow supports your head and neck for a comfortable night's sleep, so you don't wake up with a stiff neck. While sleeping, a pillow also absorbs body oil, dead skin cells and hair that can create an environment for dust mites and allergens. If any foam or batting in the pillow is lumpy or if you can fold your pillow in half and it stays that way, you need a new pillow.

Pluto Pillow is the first luxury custom pillow that is constructed to your specific body and sleep positions. Developed from extensive research and based on hundreds of stories about the way people sleep, the Pluto Pillow’s patent-pending process crafts the perfect pillow.

They slept on all types of pillows from shredded foam pillows, bamboo pillows, latex pillows, down pillows, traditional memory foam pillows, to adjustable pillows. Then they prototyped and tested alongside partners with years of material research while tapping into the training and education of sleep researchers, to create a hybrid design constructed with a foam inner core and an outer plush pillow, both unique to one's individual profile. The Pluto Pillow is a thoughtful pillow.

To order a customized pillow, go online and take a short questionnaire. First type in your name and age, next your height and weight, then your email to alert you about when your Pluto Pillow is constructed, finished and shipped to your home. They promise to never spam or give your email address to a third party.

Next is a questionnaire on how you like your pillow constructed. Click on latex, foam, fill (like plush) or I don't know. Next, click on a sliding scale of how you like your pillow from super soft, medium to hard as a rock. Then click on the height of your pillow from 0-3 inches up to 5+ inches.

They build pillows using CertiPUR-US certified foams. These foams are made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP flame retardants, mercury, lead or other heavy metals, formaldehyde, and phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. They are also low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

One more area to complete is preferences. Does your head get hot when sleeping? What position do you settle into when you go to bed? On your back, stomach or side? What position do you find yourself in when you wake up?

Then you are asked if you prefer a plushy and melt-in pillow or a settled and supportive pillow. Last is an optional area to write in anything else you would like the Pluto Pillow builders to know about you.

Once you complete the questionnaire, your data runs through an algorithm that generates the best variation to create a pillow for your unique sleep profile.
