October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, making it an ideal time to put this critical issue in the spotlight. To show their support and help in the fight against breast cancer, WonderWorks Panama City Beach will be recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October, and they have numerous ways the public can get involved.
“STEM is the foundation of cancer research, so we’re excited to join the fight against breast cancer this month! Don’t miss our fun ways to get involved in raising awareness and offering support with hopes of finding a cure,” said Darren Grooms, general manager at WonderWorks Panama City Beach.
Throughout October, WonderWorks invites locals and vacationers alike to join them in recognizing and supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness movement. To help spread awareness and participate in the fight against this condition that impacts so many, they are running fundraising opportunities, hosting a pop-up activity in the lobby, and giving away a family four-pack of admission tickets to a family with a breast cancer survivor.
Visitors to WonderWorks Panama City Beach can help in the fight against breast cancer by opting to round up to the nearest dollar when purchasing tickets at the door. All proceeds collected will be donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, with the funds being used for local grants in Bay County that support helpful initiatives. There will also be "Think Pink" t-shirts available for sale in The Wonder Shop, with 5% of the proceeds going to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
A fun, creative activity will be held in the lobby each Saturday in October, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors can create cards for local breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families. Additionally, they are looking to spread the love and experience of visiting WonderWorks Panama City Beach by giving away a family 4-pack of tickets to a local breast cancer survivor. Nominations for a deserving survivor and their family can be submitted by sending an email or a direct message on social media through October 31, 2025.
According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women across the country, after skin cancer. They estimate that there will be nearly 317,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer diagnosed in women in 2025 in the U.S. The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation is an organization focused on improving the lives of those in Florida with breast cancer.
