Gucci and Frida Giannini Announce Resort 2013 Collection

Frida Giannini is presenting a new Resort 2013 collection with Gucci that takes another look at the floral print concept she used seven years ago in her first Gucci fashion collection. With a fresh take on the concept, Giannini has created a new style lineup that is unique enough that it stands separate from its predecessor.
The collection is filled with interesting pant suits, summer dresses, and mixed pairings that work together in their simplicity. Many feature playful floral and animal prints with bright colors. Some pieces bring forth a seventies ideal, especially an effortless shirt-dress in muted earth tones, and other pieces illicit a more powerful feminine response, such as the crisp pant suits.
The floral prints of Giannini's previous collection have matured in the Resort 2013 line. Florals can be seen on almost all of the pieces and are a bold and beautiful addition. A simple pair of dark slacks are made unique by an interesting jagged floral print down the sides and a chic mini dress is brightened with lush vines.
Giannini's use of color stands out the most and many of the pieces rely on their color to make a statement. With bright shades of raspberry, vivid yellows and corals, the collection is paired with well-chosen accessories that serve to enhance the pieces. Necklaces are used with deep plunging necklines, giving the garments an added exotic playfulness.
