From Cabo With Love: It's Wedding Season in Mexico

Hilton Los Cabos

Thinking of planning a wedding in Cabo? Cabo San Lucas is a lover’s paradise, with its dramatic coastal scenery, vibrant nightlife and an abundance of luxury resorts that offer top-notch accommodations. Cabo is just a short, 45 minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport which offers direct flights from many major U.S. and Canadian cities. With attractions such as El Arco, snorkeling, fishing and multiple world-class golf resorts, Cabo has something for everyone.

Hilton Los Cabos

Nestled along the golden corridor between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort is a refined sanctuary that blends contemporary luxury with the raw beauty of Baja California’s dramatic coastline. Perched above one of the area’s few swimmable beaches, the resort commands sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez—a constant presence that floods its open-air architecture with salt-kissed breezes and dazzling sunlight.

Recently reimagined, the hotel’s interiors evoke a seamless harmony between modern Mexican design and understated elegance. Soft desert tones, handcrafted furnishings, and locally sourced materials create an atmosphere that feels at once elevated and grounded in place. Each of the spacious guest rooms and suites features private balconies—many with unobstructed ocean vistas—along with marble bathrooms and plush bedding that promise restorative sleep.

Culinary experiences are a centerpiece of the Hilton Los Cabos experience. From refined Mexican fare at Talavera to fresh ceviches and poolside bites at Madero, each dish is crafted with regional ingredients and global flair. The resort also offers interactive Agave Spirits tastings at Sokol, cooking classes, and a deep tequila selection that speaks to its cultural roots.

You can build your own attendee website or contact the hotel of your choice to create it for you! This service is completely free.

I had the immense pleasure of being invited by Hilton to attend several beautiful wedding celebrations that were part of Hilton’s fourth annual edition of “For Your Love,” a magical three-day wedding showcase that followed three diverse couples share their vows at the lovely Hilton Los Cabos and Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. Hilton embraces every unique culture,  arranging mehndi parties to ketubah signings to special dishes on the menu. Many hotels feature halal and kosher kitchens.

The first couple I witnessed had a daytime, Persian wedding that started with an elegant welcome reception on The Black Marlin Terrace of Hilton Los Cabos. The decor had vibrant hues in purple and orange with high-top tables with gold finishes. The emotional ceremony itself overlooked the property with the ocean as its backdrop and the traditional Sofreh Aghd as its centerpiece. Items on the Aghd included two candelabras to represent fire and energy, decorated eggs, walnuts and almonds for fertility, flatbread for prosperity and a sacred book to signify the couple’s faith. The ceremony was followed by a family-style lunch of traditional Iranian fare that included Beetroot Borani, Persian Stew, Lamb Kofta Kebab, Tangy Vinegar Chicken and Persian Nougat. While guests enjoyed lunch, entertainment in the form of dancers and Persian music continued throughout the afternoon.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal offered the perfect, dramatic setting for an evening wedding that saw a LGBTQ couple renew their vows for the third time. Guests were ushered down a tunnel strewn with candlelight and performers before enjoying a string quartet and cocktails while waiting to be seated alongside a cliffside infinity pool that had a stunning floral display at its center. After arriving by horse-drawn carriage, the couple exchanged their emotional vows and welcomed guests to an elegant dinner at Waldorf Astoria Pedregal’s El Farallon restaurant. Guests dined on an amuse bouche of Ossetra Caviar Zeppole with Burrata followed by an appetizer of Roman Style Artichoke Kampachi and an entree of Braised Short Rib. After watching a colorful fireworks display, guests danced the night away on a custom dance floor.

On the final day of the “For Your Love” wedding showcase, attendees were treated to an oceanside, Mama Mia themed wedding that featured a local couple. The Hilton Los Cabos was magically transformed into Mykonos, complete with an artificial, white stucco edifice with blue doors for the family style dinner that followed the nuptials. Dinner included both a Niçoise Salad with yellowfin tuna and a Greek Salad, Grilled Halloumi Cheese, Beef Stifado, Lamb and Chicken Gyros, Fava Beans with Roasted Octopus, and an abundance of sweet treats. As an extra-special touch, guests were invited to partake in Kleftiko, or plate breaking to ward off evil spirits and symbolize new beginnings before heading to the dance floor.
