Even with all the singing, dancing, jokes, Game of Thrones parodies and awkward celebrity moments, we have to admit our favorite part of the Emmy Awards was the fashion. Maybe we’re going through red-carpet withdrawals, but can you blame us for being obsessed with all those gorgeous gowns? A-listers came dressed in some of our favorite designers looking stunning across the board and fans seemed to agree, taking to social media to gush about the gorgeous starlets that were flocking to the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. White and red ruled the carpet, with dresses that varied from the more daring Roberto Cavalli and Prabal Gurung designs to the lady-like staples of Carolina Herrera and Vera Wang. We weren’t huge fans of all the popular orangey-red color (you almost match the carpet exactly, ladies!), but couldn’t get enough of the rare pops of green, pink and blue. As red and white have been dominating the red carpet for the last few awards shows, we’re pretty ready for a change.
Christina Hendricks was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Man Men, and although she didn’t take home an Emmy, she stunned in this one-shoulder Marchesa gown adorned in Neil Lane gold jewelry including a lovebird bracelet, diamond bangles, a Victorian pearl bracelet, a 50 carat crimson garnet, diamond, and gold ring, and girandole earrings.
Orange is the New Black star Laura Prepon stood out in an emerald green number from Gustavo Cadile. In a sea of reds this dress was gorgeous and she sparkled with diamond and white gold bangles, rings and earrings by Simon G.
Zooey Deschanel from television’s New Girl took a bright, unexpected twist from the popular red color this year with a gorgeous, pink Oscar de la Renta gown. She added to the bold fuchsia hue with 18 karat white gold pieces from the Forevermark by Maria Canale Aster Collection.
Guliana Rancic is everyone’s favorite red-carpet interviewer, and she stepped into the spotlight herself in the color-of-the-moment. She added to her strapless Gustavo Cadile dress with Christian Louboutin heels and Forevermark diamond cuffs, earrings and rings by Jade Trau.
From Elementary, Lucy Liu hit the red carpet in a stunning pale yellow Zac Posen gown. She added to the ethereal look with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Lorraine Schwartz yellow gold and canary yellow diamond earrings and ring.
Everyone’s favorite rock star TV personality, Kelly Osborne, opted for a game-changing number with dual tones, lace and a short purple do. Her Honor dress was gorgeous and she paired it with Aldo shoes and Belldora gold jewelry including a retro 18 karat yellow gold and citrine and topaz ring, a gemstone flower ring in 18 karat yellow gold with yellow and white diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds, an antique Edwardian spinel and diamond ring, moonstone bracelet, and several gold bangles.
Nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Downton Abbey, Michelle Dockery shone bright on the red carpet in her blue, green and white Rosie Assoulin gown. Adding to the look she wore an Amanda Pearl bag. Christian Louboutin heels and Ana Khouri yellow gold grey pearl ear cuffs, ring, yellow gold and white diamond bracelets and finger ring.
Orange Is the New Black actress Taylor Schilling was nominated last night for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, and although the win went to Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Veep (another lady dressed in red), Schilling was a total winner on the red carpet. She paired her white Zuhair Murad dress with Stuart Weitzman shoes, a Rauwolf clutch, and Forevermark Premier Gem pieces including rings, earring and bracelets with over 43 carats of brilliant diamonds.
