With Baselworld coming to a close it’s almost hard to say goodbye to all the new, neat and ultra-techy watches that have been making the rounds this year. From crazy altimeter timepieces to revamped heritage pieces, the Swiss show has had quite the new selection. A limited-edition Louis Moinet Mecanograph was debuted at the event, an 18 karat pink-gold piece that is aesthetically split between the beauty of a classic and the sharpness of modernity.

Truly the Jekyll and Hyde of watches, the Mecanograph displays its calibre LM31 through the unshielded left side of the face and the back, allowing it’s mechanics to peek though. The right side of the face displays the hours between 12 o’clock and six o’clock with central Gouttes de Rosée hands on a black, Côte du Jura guilloche background. A smaller sub-dial at nine o’clock displays the seconds while the outer perimeter of the dial displays the minutes. The clear backing highlights a colorful coordination of blue screws, pink Verneuil jewels and anthracite bridges making for a gorgeous display.

The Mecanograph features a 43.5 mm rose gold watch face with a six-screw bezel, polished finish and a sapphire crystal front and back with anti-reflective coating. With a power reserve of 48 hours, the watch is also water resistant up to 50 meters (165 ft) and comes with an alligator strap. Production is limited to only 60 pieces and is a must-have for any timepiece collector.
