Salvatore Ferragamo Makes Ties Cool for Father's Day

Ties may be the boring go-to when you’re on the hunt for last-minute gifts for dad, but the latest offering from Salvatore Ferragamo is anything but dull. Yesterday, quite literally just in time for Father’s Day, the Italian house announced their new Made-to-Order tie program. The first series of ties, which hit stores June 14, comes in 11 different styles: eight prints and three jacquards. Customers can choose the length, which comes in 140 cm, 150 cm or 160 cm, and the width, which is offered in 6 cm, 7 cm, 8 cm or 8.5 cm. After the correct size has been selected, it can be personalized with a navy, light blue, pink, green or orange colors, and monogrammed in a block or cursive print.

Ferragamo began making ties in 1973, and over the years became known for their brightly colored, quirky patterns of bugs, animals, flowers and the occasional stripe or plaid. They’re a favorite of CEOs and celebs all over the world, so chances are dad will love his first Ferragamo tie (or a personalized one to add to his collection). The ties are priced at $250 and come in a special branded box, perfect for displaying or gift giving.
