Air France is set to redefine transatlantic luxury this weekend with the launch of its award-winning La Première cabin on flights between Los Angeles International Airport and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. On September 27, flight AF022 will mark the inaugural journey operated by the airline’s new La Première suites, offering passengers an unparalleled travel experience.

La Première, Air France’s highest expression of travel, is currently offered on flights to five U.S. destinations, including New York, Washington, San Francisco, Miami, and now Los Angeles. This expansion reflects growing demand for premium service between the U.S. and Paris, making Los Angeles the second U.S. gateway, after New York, to feature the new suites. Gradually rolled out on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, all La Première destinations will be equipped with this refined cabin by 2026.

A Growing Demand For Premium Services

“We are proud to bring our newest signature French art of travel to Los Angeles, one of the most important gateways in the U.S.,” said Fabien Pelous, SVP of Customer Experience at Air France. “This milestone marks a significant enhancement of Air France’s U.S. offering and further strengthens the airline’s position as a leader in global luxury travel. La Première provides an unparalleled journey to Paris and onward to our global network with the award-winning service that defines Air France.”

Passengers traveling on La Première will depart Paris at 10:30 a.m., arriving in Los Angeles at 1:05 p.m. local time. The return flight leaves LAX at 3:25 p.m., arriving at CDG the following morning at 11:15 a.m. During winter, Air France will operate up to three daily direct flights from Los Angeles to Paris, increasing to four flights daily in summer 2026.

The new suites offer fully adaptable living and storage space

Exclusive Ground Experience

The new La Première experience begins even before boarding. At LAX, passengers check in at a dedicated La Première space, distinct from standard check-in areas, located between Terminals 1 and 2. Expect a warm welcome with personalized assistance, priority security, and a private car transfer across the tarmac to the Midfield Satellite Concourse, where a newly designed lounge awaits.

Created in partnership with SGK Brandimage, the space blends shades of blue, luminous whites, and touches of red, featuring iconic French furniture by Patrick Jouin, Pierre Paulin, Charlotte Perriand, and Margaux Keller. Within, La Première guests enjoy a private space with seating for twelve, a dedicated dining area, runway views, and access to a Clarins spa offering exclusive “de-stress” treatments. Boarding is equally refined, with private escort to the aircraft via a dedicated La Première jet bridge.

Onboard Comfort and Design

The new La Première suites feature five windows, fully modular seating, and a chaise longue that converts into a two-meter bed. Passengers can adjust their seat and lighting via a wireless touchscreen, enjoy two 32-inch 4K screens, noise-reducing headphones, and multiple charging options. The thick floor-to-ceiling curtains ensure privacy, creating a cozy, adaptable environment for rest, work, or entertainment.

Suites feature ‘Le Pyjama’ by Jacquemus and travel kits with Sisley skincare

Dining in La Première reflects the pinnacle of French gastronomy. Michelin-starred chefs Dominique Crenn and Daniel Boulud have crafted signature dishes, from lobster with pico de gallo to saffron chicken with pumpkin and turnips. Laurent Le Daniel, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, elevates dessert with creations such as the ‘Coeur de Bretagne,’ blending salted butter caramel, milk chocolate, and hazelnut biscuit.

With meticulously designed suites, a private lounge, Michelin-starred cuisine, and an array of entertainment and wellness options, Air France’s new La Première cabin is set to transform the journey between Los Angeles and Paris into an unforgettable experience. airfrance.com
