Does anyone come to a no-reserve auction hopeful to be the only person in attendance and buy a million dollar estate for a dollar? Although there is no minimum bid to meet, it is unlikely to occur. A mansion set on 10.6 acres in Teton County in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, originally offered at $32.5 million, will go to auction on July 12.

CNBC ranked this winter wonderland, known as The Grand Teton Estate, the third most spectacular ski home in America. Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty is participating with Concierge Auctions in presenting this live auction.
“This auction represents a rare opportunity to secure one of the finest homes in Jackson Hole without the limitations of the current building size restrictions. Today, Teton County allows only 8,000 square feet of habitable living space in contrast to the over 23,000 square feet this estate provides," said Pamela Renner of Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty.
“There is no other property in Teton County that offers what this property does—rare, expansive square footage on over 10 completely private gated acres, world-class amenities, and a premier location with spectacular views at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort."
Antique timbers and walls of stone are featured throughout this estate designed by architect Jonathan Foote. It is palatial with seven bedrooms and seven full bathrooms, a 12-seat theater, and a 4,000-bottle wine cellar. Additionally, there is a 1,200-square-foot gym, a seven-car garage, and four heated dog kennels.
“As the first major house in Jackson Hole, originally built as it was becoming one of the great all-season watering holes in America, this property sets a standard of tasteful grandiosity while quietly blending in with the scale and power of the surrounding environment,” said Foote.
“Concealed on entry, subtle and welcoming upon arrival, it walks softly on the land and among the vegetation that shelters it. Ancient materials and craftsmanship give it a timelessness which befits and enhances the extraordinary beauty of the Snake River Valley and the grandeur of the Tetons."

The Teton Estate is available for preview by appointment only daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
