Just a couple years after she won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for her role in Monster, actress Charlize Theron also scooped up a $2.76 million loft in Los Angeles. The two-story penthouse boasts one bedroom, two bathrooms and three terraces—one of which overlooks the iconic Capital Records cylindrical tower, while another comes with an outdoor fireplace and city views. Before you fall in love, she recently sold it for $1.7 million, taking a bit of a loss, but gifting a lucky homeowner with a fantastically-furnished home.

Formerly a 1920 department store, Broadway Hollywood Lofts on Vine St. is now home to several celebrities. Presumably due to its famous inhabitants, the building’s 24-hour valet service offers discreet alley access, which keeps residents away from prying eyes. Theron’s 2,350-foot loft gives off an airy NYC vibe, with its open layout, exposed air ducts and tall, steel-framed windows.

The penthouse features dark ebony floors that contrast dramatically with stark white walls, while a plush rug adds texture and defines the living room space. The large windows allow light to pour in and give a warm, bright ambience to the main floor. In the kitchen and dining room, yellow tinted lights create the same feel, while an oversized backlit clock steals the focus away from the sleek, stainless steel appliances.

A floating staircase in the middle of the main floor takes you upstairs to the master bed and bath, along with the fireplace terrace. Also upstairs is a scene-stealing fabric-paneled wall that serves as the bed’s backboard.
