Model of Ralph Lauren's $40 Million Bugatti Among Holiday Offerings

Models of automotive works of art from the incredible collection of Ralph Lauren are among the designer’s enticing holiday offerings this season. There are four limited edition models at 1:8 scale in all, priced at $9,500 apiece, including his $40 million 1938 Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic Coupé (above), his $25 million 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa and 1996 McLaren F1 LM.

To create the impressive items, each car was first digitally scanned resulting in details that are accurate to one tenth of a millimeter over the length of the vehicle, making for truly authentic scale reproductions of the original masterpieces.

The cars reproduced are among those recently exhibited at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris for the Art of the Automobile: Masterpieces from the Ralph Lauren Collection show. Each comes on a custom-designed base with a removable covering. This is the first time the designer has allowed models of the cars to be made. Other holiday offerings from Lauren’s mens collections include a hand stitched alligator skin version of his vintage-inspired Cooper bag for $27,995, and a covered lock soft alligator briefcase (below) for $19,995. Visit RalphLauren.com to see more.
