Sneak Peek Halloween Time During Disneyland Resort's 70th Celebration

The most bewitching season at Disneyland is Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resorts. Start at Disneyland to see a massive Mickey Mouse Jack-o'-lantern greet guests in the Town Square park. Walk along Main Street, U.S.A. to see hundreds of carved pumpkins, fall florals, and themed window displays.

Now through October 31, 2025, the Disney Parks are celebrating 70 years in Anaheim, California with some enhanced sights, sounds and special activities.

Guests looking to kick off the fall season at Disneyland Resort right now have flexibility and options to save with park tickets for select dates in August and September starting at $104 per day or with select Magic Key annual passes, available to purchase beginning no earlier than 9:00 a.m. on Aug. 26, 2025. Here's 10 sights not to miss while at the Disneyland Parks:

1. Disneyland Pumpkin Greeting

Walk up to Disneyland's entrance to see pumpkin shaped Disney characters that include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Pluto above the turnstiles.

Be sure to see your favorite Disney characters carved into pumpkins at the Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse Welcome Square in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

2. Disney California Adventure Park Ghoulish Good Times

Ghoulish Good Times: Witness Oogie Boogie casting a shadowy eye from atop the Main Gate marquee. Along Buena Vista Street see black bats swarming Carthay Circle Theatre’s bell tower. A Headless Horseman statue and other spooky decorations enhance the park. Ghoulish fun apparel and accessories are offered in various shops.

Three attractions in this park are Halloween-enhanced. Stroll over to Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween and Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree. The tractors spin to popular songs: 'Monster Mash (Monster Truck Smash) and 'Purple People Eater (Purple Fender Bender). The Guardians of the Galaxy is even scarier now, as it has been transformed into 'Monsters After Dark.'

3. New Halloween Attire

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and some of their friends are dressed in vibrant Halloween outfits inspired by their brightly colored 70th Celebration attire. This Halloween they are dressed in shades of purple, green, and orange.

4. Sweet Spooky Fare

The Spell Bar is a batter-fried SNICKERS Bar on a stick with chocolate drizzle and roasted peanuts.

Other sweet snacks include theme cake pops, ice cream sundaes, cookies and rice crispy treats.

5. Frightfully Fun Fare

Pair an Oogie Boogie Burrito filled with carne asada, french fries, spicy blue tortilla chips, pico de gallow, guacamole and crema with an Oogie Boogie lemonade. Find this Halloween Savory burrito at Studio Catering Co. in Disney California Adventure Park.

Nosh throughout the resort to experience autumnal items such as a Chili Cheese Corn Dog, a new jalapeno-cream cheese bread, and Bulgogi Potato topped with Bulgogi-marinated beef, Gochujang Mayo, spicy cucumber and green onion at Troubadour Tavern.

6. Halloween Screams

The new Stitch Mummy Bucket is featured throughout Disneyland Resort. During the evening the Nighttime Spectacular popular Halloween Screams projection show returns. Watch Disney's villains like Ursula and Hades projected with lights and music. On select evenings there are also fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle.

7. Haunted Mansion Holiday 

The iconic Haunted Mansion Holiday returns with frightfully festive decorating touches. Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie and Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas make appearances and wish guests 'Season's Screamings!'. Just for 2025, the ballroom showcases a fresh, elaborate gingerbread house.

8. Honoring Día de los Muertos in Disney California Adventure Park

Also in Disney California Adventure Park, Plaza de la Familia is the place to experience heartwarming entertainment, colorful apparel and accessories, festive decorations, family activities and a curated menu of Mexican cuisine through Nov. 2, 2025. There is an area honoring Día de los Muertos with activations for families to honor those in their family who have passed away.

 

Disneyland Pluto Pumpkin Pursuit

9. Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit

Starting on August 29, 2025 through October 31, families can roam around different areas around Disneyland Resort to discover themed pumpkins on a Scavenger Hunt. Find all and receive a keepsake souvenir.

The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort have a multi-day hotel offer to save up to 20% on select stays at a Disneyland Resort hotel, providing more ways to play and save. 

Halloween experiences at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort include a confectionery display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, themed treatments at Tenaya Stone Spa, an all-new Disney Villains-themed cocktail menu at Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel, plus special treat trails for overnight guests on select afternoons.  

Limited-time character dining experiences will be also available at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, including Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween at the Disneyland Hotel and Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast Buffet at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.  

Guests can extend the fun with new offerings at Downtown Disney District, such as weekly movie nights and limited-time food and beverage.
