One of the least favorite things about owning an in-ground swimming pool is the time-consuming maintenance associated with cleaning it.
Thankfully, the folks at Beatbot have come up with a very impressive solution.
If you haven’t yet heard of their robotic pool cleaner, AquaSense 2 Ultra, consider this your formal introduction.
What makes their newest product so unique is it uses advanced AI-navigation to not only clean but also map your pool to ensure every inch of the pool is covered.

Think of it as a Roomba for your pool, but better.
This 5-in-1 model cleans the water surface, walls, floors, and waterline, and even features a water clarification system. It was specially designed to provide professional-grade pool cleaning with its unique HybridSense AI Pool Mapping technology.
The submarine propulsion system is the only robotic cleaner of its kind to feature a multi-sensor fusion of AI camera, ultrasonic, and infrared sensors to not only intelligently adapt to your pool’s unique layout but also provide cleaning from the water surface to the walls and floor. The multi-sensor system even clarifies the water, resulting in a crystal-clear pool that you didn’t have to clean.

Using AI technology, once the unit hits the water, it starts to scan and map its cleaning path. It is then able to target the debris to ensure a thorough and spotless cleaning. Even if you have a pool with complex layout or even a multi-level platform, the model will cover those hard-to-reach spots.
What makes this unit even better is you can actually watch along through the Beatbot App to seamlessly and transparently view the cleaning paths and your detailed pool map. Many pool robots do not have the debris detection that this one has, resulting in units operating without a clear path leaving the pool only partially cleaned.
The good news is the AquaSense 2 Ultra was designed to eliminate not only the problem of struggling to clean uniquely shaped pools but also frequently getting stuck, requiring constant human supervision.
This model was designed to minimize manual intervention, leaving you with more time to relax by the pool or enjoy an alfresco lunch poolside. Its enhanced efficiency has also been improved to reduce overlaps so every inch of the pool is cleaned as fast as possible.

Even better, it also has AI Obstacle Detection to keep the system from getting stuck and requiring assistance.
So, how does it actually work?
The AI camera sensor takes images to identify objects in its path. It then emits sound waves to measure the distance between objects and detect potential obstacles. An infrared sensor maps the pool so it becomes familiar with your pool’s unique layout to avoid missing any areas. It even has a water pressure sensor to measure the depth of the pool and temperature.
You can simply set the unit and forget about it. The AquaSense 2 Ultra then gets to work using S-shaped patterns for floor and surface cleaning, and N-shaped patterns for walls and the waterline.

Once it is complete, you can check out the app that displays the pool map along with the set cleaning path the robot followed to determine how thoroughly it cleaned the pool.
When the robot has completed its cleaning, it will return to the water’s surface by releasing water so it floats near the pool’s edge for easy retrieval. If you don’t retrieve the unit in time, you don’t have to worry about not being able to get it. Simply call it back to return parking using the app. It will also float to the top of the pool when the robot’s battery drops below 15% and needs a charge.
If you are having guests over and want to give the pool a quick clean before they arrive, there is even an AI Quick Mode that can be selected in the app designed for rapid floor cleaning.
