The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider has been getting some pretty positive reviews and we aren’t really surprised. Starting at £59,500 ($93,177), the luxury two-seater is a definite improvement from the coupé, with its pumped up sound system and bespoke perks—not to mention the removable roof and sculpted lines. Similar to the coupé, the Italian Spider boasts a turbocharged 1.7-liter, four-cylinder engine that offers 237hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The power under the hood rockets the stylish car from zero to 62mph in just 4.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 155mph.
With carbon fiber paneling added behind the cabin and an upgrade to the headlamps, making them single-lens, the car looks pretty amazing. It has more leather in the interior (like a trim on the glovebox), fancier floor mats, and a custom-made car cover. Plus, you have the option of adding a lightweight Akrapovic exhaust system which amps up the previous model’s racing status. While some early reviewers, like Top Gear, are taking issue with the auto’s stiffness, the 4C’s flashy looks just may be enough to get it by.
The 4C Spider is currently offered with a soft-top that can be removed, but we are expecting a carbon fiber hard-top to be made available soon.
