Have you ever wanted to know what it would be like to step inside a spaceship? After more than four years of development and design, the 42.5 Power Trimaran Superyacht Adastra by John Shuttleworth Designs brings you as close as possible. The Adastra, which was just launched in Zhuhai, China is one of the most astounding yachts ever built, measuring at 139 feet and utilizing iPad technology to control its systems.

According to Boat International the newly debuted craft is “one of the world’s most amazing super yachts, that could spell the future for efficient long range cruising.” The $15 million dollar vessel, commissioned by a Chinese couple, is already redefining the term “futuristic sea travel” with its jaw-dropping design and technological capabilities mirroring a spacecraft straight out of Star Wars.

Because of its use of carbon fiber Nomex honeycomb and Kevlar & Glass foam structuring, the yacht is considerably light for its size, also making the Adrasta energy efficient. At top speed, the Adrasta can travel at 22 knots, and its fuel cleaning system further aids in the efficiency of the machine. All of the vessel's functions can be controlled through the use of an iPad; however, access is restricted to a 50 meter range from the yacht in order to maximize security.

A total of nine guests and five crew members are able to be housed on the the Adrasta. On board, guests can enjoy the ultimate in modern luxury. The Adrasta's interior décor is streamlined and futuristic with several modern suites as well as master suite, lounge, dining room, and open bar. State-of-the-art amenities and ergonomically geared technology complete this innovative addition to the boating world.
