Newbury Street is well known for its boutique shops and high-end labels, but what you may not realize is there is a great salon called MiniLuxe that offers a variety of nail services topped off with a little bit of luxury.
As soon as you enter the space, you will see a long table situated center stage where aestheticians are busy at work clipping, painting and filing away while guests relax for some pampering.
Angel, my nail technician, quickly greeted me with a glass of water and we proceeded to the long table where others were busy at work. She started off with the application of Shellac, which is applied to ensure a long lasting manicure (it will last up to two weeks without chipping).
Once it is applied, she quickly went to work, clipping, buffing, shaping and trimming my nails into the perfect shape. When she was satisfied with the look, she painted the tips white and shaped them perfectly into a nice clean look, applying two coats of light pink nail color on top for a natural appearance.
The best part about MiniLuxe just might be no appointments are needed for a 30-minute manicure or a 15 minute eyebrow cleanup, along with many other flexible services that are designed to refresh your nails. As an added bonus, they offer a three-day repair policy so if your polish chips within three days, simply come back for a quick touchup and they will make it look like new again, all at no charge.
MiniLuxe offers a variety of services, including a gentleman’s manicure, foot facial pedicure, callus treatment, extended massage with warm wrap during a pedicure as well as a full line of waxing services for the face and upper and lower bodies. To make an appointment online, visit MiniLuxe.com or call (857) 362-7444. MiniLuxe is located at 296 Newbury Street in Boston. There are several other locations available, including Wellesley, Chestnut Hill, Brookline, Lexington and Newton.
