When it comes to planning a getaway in Boston, there are many hotels to choose from, but if you are looking for one that features a storied history, reimagined interior, and unbeatable location, The Langham, Boston delivers it all.

Whether it is your first time visiting the city, you are seeking a one-night escape, or are looking to indulge in a weeklong getaway, the luxury hotel housed in the former Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in the Financial District sits just steps from the many of the city’s historic sites.

The property recently underwent a two-year, multimillion-dollar renovation that transformed the hotel’s clientele from primarily business to now including family travelers. Their 312 rooms range from a bi-level family suite with two-story, brass-embossed windows to an Executive Club Room that includes complimentary access to The Langham Club. For the ultimate luxury stay, the Chairman Suite offers a home-away-from-home penthouse experience with lavish amenities, including a king-sized bedroom with full walk-in closet, and a living room with fireplace and baby grand piano.

Guests are welcomed to the pet friendly property by friendly valet attendants who offer suggestions of nearby parks and walking areas where you can take your four-legged friend. Once inside, an elegantly appointed new lobby awaits guests to check in.

Whether you are here for business or leisure travel, we recommend a stay in an Executive Club Room that boasts a king bed, a comfortable sitting area overlooking the Financial District, and access to The Langham Club. Located on the 8th floor, the Club Level amenity is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with four presentations. The luxurious amenity was introduced during the renovations a few years ago and has become a popular add-on for hotel guests who are not staying in the Park View Club Rooms, Executive Club Rooms, and Suites (which come with complimentary access to the all-day service).

From 7 to 11 a.m., the Club offers hot breakfast dishes, including an omelet station, pastries, fruit salads, yogurts, and healthier options. From 12 to 2:30 p.m., they feature a selection of tea sandwiches and light bites. Sweet treats and other snacks are presented from 3 to 4:30 p.m. In the evening, a light dinner with self-serve bar is available from 5 to 8 p.m.

When it comes to dining, there are two on-site options: The Fed and Grana.

Located on the main level, The Fed is a British-inspired cocktail bar with a New England twist, offering elevated fare like pork belly bites, fish and chips with seasoned fries, and bourbon-braised short ribs. A seasonal outdoor Rose Garden Terrace is bustling during the warmer months and the perfect spot for alfresco dining or enjoying some after-work cocktails.

The hotel’s on-site Italian restaurant, Grana, located in the former grand hall of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is open for breakfast daily, lunch weekdays, and brunch on the weekends. The impressive setting boasts soaring ceilings, ornate chandeliers and velvet banquettes.
