Since New York City has felt the unimaginable impact that COVID-19 has had on the restaurant and hospitality industry, this year's The Food Network and NYCWFF will look a little different. The festival will continue to conncect people with world class restaurants, celebrity chefs and mixologists, while continuing the fight to end hunger for No Kid Hungry and Food Bank for New York City.
Both organizations are helping those struggling with hunger. Right now one in five kids are hungry in New York City, and 1.4 million New Yorkers rely on emergency food to eat. The Festival will give 100% of the net proceeds to benefit Food Bank For New York City, No Kid Hungry campaign and the five boroughs of New York City.
Every year, NYCWFF raises nearly $1 million for these charities helping them better provide for those they serve and closing the gap on hunger in our country.
Along with sister festival, the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival, presented by Capital One, they have raised over $2 million during the pandemic for restaurant and bar employee relief in New York State and South Florida.
New this year is 'Cook from The Book' (October 2 – 11), a series that connects attendees with their favorite chef for a hands-on cooking experience. An additional bonus includes the latest cookbook by the sessions host, from R.J., Julia Booksellers – NYC’s largest independent bookstore.
Celebrity chefs include Marcus Samuelsson, Jacques Pépin, Yotam Ottolenghi, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Vetri, Hugh Acheson, Thomas Keller, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Maneet Chauhan.

'In the Kitchen' presented by Food Network is from October 2 – 11, as a digital version of the festival’s annual, signature culinary demonstrations.
Each class will be powered by Zoom and guests will join a Food Network or Cooking Channel personality in their home kitchen for a live, interactive demonstration where the host will provide culinary tips and tricks sure to up any attendees culinary skills.
