Fiji's Vomo Private Island Resort Offers Romantic Luxury Getaways

Vomo Private Island Resort is located in Vomo, Fiji, and is exactly what it sounds like: a 30-villa luxury beach resort on a private island in the Mamanuca Islands Group. Just a 15-minute helicopter transfer from Nadi International Airport, the resort is the only hotel on the 225 acre private island. With plenty of activities, great cuisine, and breathtaking views, what’s not to love?

At an average room cost of $1,000 a night, guests are provided with meals, non-alcoholic drinks, and non-motorized activities. The cuisine at Vomo Private Island Resort is rated as some of the best in the South Pacific, with a handful of restaurants and bars to choose from. The Reef is the main dining restaurant, whose menu changes daily. The open-air seating at The Vuda Bar sets the atmosphere for a relaxing evening, but The Rocks is where you’ll want to go to sip a cocktail while gazing at a beautiful a view. It overlooks an expanse of fine white sand and is perfect for enjoying a spectacular sunset.

The Vomo Private Island Resort is great for families, with a kid’s camp included within the resort. The environment, though, makes for a romantic destination, and the resort offers plenty of activities for couples. The resort, which hosted the finale of the popular reality show The Bachelorette in 2011, offers champagne picnics, sunset cruises, and couple's massages at the spa are available to those guests hoping to up the romance of their vacation.
