Opening in March 2017, the all-inclusive UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya, is aiming to specialize in “no itinerary necessary” vacations and redefine the all-inclusive landscape. When you enter the lobby, you’re greeted by a custom scent, a trend that has been catching on over the last few years. This is when you’ll also be introduced to the UNICO Experience App which features updated information on weekly activities. Programs include offerings such as cooking classes taught by renowned regional chefs and impromptu popup sessions like Mezcal tastings, cocktail hours in a nearby Mayan village or full moon parties on the beach.

The adults-only resort, which is a play on its latitude and longitude, will be home to 448 guestrooms, 90 percent of which will boast ocean views. Guests staying on floors two through five will be treated to hydro Jacuzzis on their terraces while first floor homes will come with a plunge pool. Plus, mini bars will be stocked to your preference, so if prefer whiskey to vodka, or chips to chocolates, let them know ahead of time and it’ll all be waiting for you upon arrival.

Replacing the traditional butler service, all guests will receive a host for their stay. If you’d like help finding a great local restaurant or where to go off the beaten path to really explore your surroundings, your host can help with that. They are available 24/7 and act as your insider guide to ensure you make the most out of your vacation. The food and beverage program includes five unique restaurants, including Cueva Siete by celebrity chef Christian Bravo and features a rotating lineup of emerging chefs. Guests can also enjoy infused cocktails boasting local flavors and ingredients at any of the property’s six bars and lounges. There’s also a Cuban-themed cigar lounge and two swim-up bars.
