Hotel Royal Monceau: The Marvelous Piece

Posted: Jul. 24th, 2008  |  By JustLuxe Team
Luxury Hotels: The Hotel Royal Monceau is held as a marvelous instance of the tradition that the French call the "art de vivre." Just "pas ou deux" from the famous Arc de Triomphe, the Hotel Royal Monceau has been recently re-styled by the high-profile French interior decorator Jacques Garcia known for re-designing the Sultan of Brunei's palace and several important French batiments. Garcia's signature design is a bold mix of 17th and 18th century styles -- a definite departure from the minimalist movement currently in vogue.

The entrance itself is royal set off by 18th century lamps and modern illumination.

The Hotel Royal Monceau houses over two hundred deluxe rooms, each one a visual treat. The outlandish opulence of Garcia's style is more than evident in the deep-cushioned sofas and Gobelins tapestries.

The bathrooms at Hotel Royal Monceau too, give an appearance of sumptuousness that goes with class. The fussiest of guests cannot help but be impressed with their sheer size and the flawless marble flooring. The swimming pool within the premises too, is exquisitely designed with sculptures surrounding it.

The deluxe rooms at Hotel Royal Monceau are fitted with king-sized or twin beds and have a large sitting area. Some rooms also have a fireplace. The junior suites, on the other hand, are both functional as well as comfortable. These suites have raised beds and linen which is famous for comfort and style thanks to the Italian brand Frette. The rugs are soft and downy with pastel colors. The "superior" rooms are more spacious and, like their "junior" counterparts, have marble bathrooms. They also come with twin or king-sized beds.

The guests of Hotel Royal Monceau usually come away raving about Les Thermes, one of the most renowned spas of Paris. Considered ideal in terms of relaxation, it has more than ten "treatment rooms," steam baths, a Jacuzzi, and a sauna.

Hotel Royal Monceau also has banquet facilities, currency exchange, a salon and also babysitting and car rental services. In other words, the works.

Hotel Royal Monceau is one of the few hotels that allow pets on its premises. What's more, guests don't have to pay extra to keep their pets in the hotel. Not too far away are the Champs Elysees, the Faubourg Saint-Honore, and the museums of Orsay and Louvre. The business traveler might like to visit the La Defense Business Area, which is about four kilometers away from the hotel.

A majestic brand of luxury is what you'll find at Hotel Royal Monceau.

Note: The Hotel Royal Monceau is currently under construction and will be reopened fall of 09.
