Pastries, Greek food and chocolates are just some of the food festivals happening around Dallas this week, giving foodies a fun and tasty variety of things to do. Don’t forget about the wine gatherings either, where sophisticated tastes meet disinhibiting beverages.
DECIPHERING GREEK: Of course, you can fill up on Greek favorites (dolmas, spanakopita, triopita, souvlaki and more) at the Greek Food Festival. You can also watch and learn how to re-create some of those delicacies at home. Cooking demonstrations include koulouria (butter pastry), pastitiso, stuffed peppers and tomatoes, and Greek vegetables.
