The first ever man-made whitewater rafting, kayaking and surf center of the Middle East emerges in Dubai with Redbull sponsored Sally Fitzgibbons, where she showed off her stellar surfing moves 140 kilometers from the ocean.

A bodacious surfer showed off her skills when she tackled 11ft-high waves - in the middle of a desert.

These stunning images were taken as Sally Fitzgibbons put her body through its paces in a specially designed wave pool built in the scorching Arabian desert.

The Australian braved the 50 degree heat to pull off difficult tricks in the promotional stunt in the Wadi Adventure pool - the first man-made whitewater rafting, kayaking and surf centre in the Middle East.

Built 140km from the coast, the centre is capable of making 11ft-high waves every 90 seconds.
