Its Good to be Queen: Marie Antoinette Tea from Nina's Paris

Marie Antoinette

Ninas Tea

The Secret of Marie Antoinette’s Garden at Versailles for tea lovers.

My discovery of Nina's occurred during an event at the Ritz Hotel a few years ago where the tea was served before the hotel closed for renovations. The aroma's of Nina’s teas when you first encounter them is very distinct; the teas are scented with French essences that are carefully blended in each tea flavor. If you can't imagine what it would be like to have tea with Marie Antoinette on a warm summer day at the Petite Trianon, this tea will help you experience it.  Apples  grow in her gardens at Versailles and they are blended into the tea making it unique in the world.

Great tea has flavors that you experience like wine; the  emerge with each sip. First, there is a distinct floral scent that wafts over you; then as you sip the tea you experience a scent of apples and just a hint of the tea leaves as you continue to sip it.  Marie Antoinette's tea is a unique blend of apples and essences and with one sip from a handpainted teacup,  you will feel luxurious.  The tea room is a perfect stop on your next visit to Paris central area located near the Place Vendome. Upon your arrival you’ll enter a petite sitting room decorated in 18th century style. Shelves with delightful candies and sweets greet you as do the beautiful cannisters of Marie Antoinette’s tea. Of course, a portrait and bust of the lady herself presides over the shop. Sitting on your elegant 18th century chair you are served a delightful cup and can also enjoy a piece of Marie Antoinette Chocolate truffles. These melt-in-your mouth treats are made with the same unique essences and have the consistency of rich truffles. Everything is carefully packaged in gold and pink and no doubt would meet with the Queen’s approval.

Just ask for a cup of Marie Antoinette's Tea and be prepared for a delightful rest from a busy day of shopping or sightseeing in Paris.
