It seems like Kendall Jenner’s modeling career was more than just a passing whim. Yesterday Forbes announced the World’s Highest Paid Models of 2015 and it looks like Kim K.’s little sis made the cut. Gisele Bündchen, who announced her retirement from the runway earlier this year, is still kicking ass and taking names at the number one spot with $44 million in earnings between June 2014 and June 2015. (Even after leaving the catwalk her earnings are only down six percent from last year.) Even Cara Delevingne, who announced she was leaving the world of modeling to focus on her acting career, took second place with $9 million. (Apparently you don’t actually need to model to be a top model?) While she first made the list in 2014, she’s already pushed her way to the top, increasing her earnings by 61% since this time last year. Tied for second was Adriana Lima with $9 million. Doutzen Kroes with $7.5 million and Natalia Vodianova with $7 million round out the top five.
While Kendall didn’t make the top five (or the top ten) she did come in at 16th with around $4 million in earnings. But chances are by next year she’ll be sitting pretty in the top spots with Adriana and Cara. “Kendall’s generation is more influenced by digital media than television, magazines or any other forms of advertising,” Chris Gay, general manager of The Society Management, which represents Jenner, told Forbes. And the only person on the list who can match her as far as social media followers are concerned is Cara—and she’s in second place. Better watch out Gisele—Kendall might be coming for you.
